VISIT UGANDA SCHOOLS

A number of people out of Uganda have been requesting me to advise them about schools where they can take their children or relatives.  I have found it a difficult task.

In the circumstances, I have thought of an innovation where I have put up a site where a number of schools can have basic information and photo impressions concerning their establishments.  This can be done when they get in touch with me on the email below:

I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED ON DISCOVERING LITTLE WONDERS MONTESSORI DAY CARE AND NURSERY SCHOOL

As I moved off Nyanama Road, my attention was drawn to Little Wonders Montessori Day Care and Nursery School not far from Pal Suites. What I saw is memorable and I wish to share with you. I must say, parents around the area are privileged to have an infrastructure of the type in close vicinity. Any parent who would wish to see his/her child a professional may not want to miss the opportunity of taking the child at that school given what it offers to the infants. The teaching aids are simply the type that give a child the grooming any parent would have wished for his child. It is worth a visit and may also offer a good learning centre for those in similar establishments given the collections for infant learning under one roof.

Easter, the administrator says that many parents in the area are put off by the fees which is below the would be market rate given the facilities at hand. It is possible that some people who use Nyanama road are not aware of what this infant school has on offer. Below are a few photo images that illustrate what one should expect.

GENERAL ACTIVITY AT LITTLE WONDERS SCHOOL UGANDA

THURSDAY, 1 MAY 2014

SPORTS A POSITIVE MOTIVATOR IN CHILD EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT

12th April, 2014 was not only Palm Sunday, but also Sports Day at Little Wonders Montessori Nursery School – Zana (Kikumbi Zone).  A number of parents were able to attend the function though it was Palm Sunday, and they were able to come with their children.  By 11.00am, all was set with children organized to participate in the various activities as per the groups organized by their teachers.

Medals on display.  Children who excelled in various sporting activities were given congratulatory medals.

Play is the most important activity in the lives of children. Sometimes it seems more important than eating and sleeping. Sometimes play is easy and fun. Sometimes play is trying hard to do something right.  Play is the work, the occupation of childhood. If you study how a child grows, and watch children play, you will understand why play is so important.

Chair dance was the 1st Sporting activity for the day

 Bottle filling

Parents morale boosting the children

The Games in which the children participated included: Chair dance which was the curtain raiser; there was Bottle filling, Dressing up; Sorting of colours; the Sweat potato race;Bowling and Bear collection. The Head teacher, Madam Esther Namirembe was referee and was being assisted by three teachers by the name:  Marion, Faridah and Dorothy.

Play is important because it helps children grow strong and healthy.
When children run, jump, roll, throw, catch, or swing they are building muscles. They burn energy that makes them tired and hungry.
Physical play improves strength, endurance, and balance. Body coordination improves when children play in physical ways. Physical play helps children sleep and eat better.

For all the activities, the best performer was awarded a Congratulatory medal while all children got a medal for participation. Each activity had children in groups A, B and C.

Children had eats before the close of the Sporting activities.

CELEBRATING A CHILD'S BIRTHDAY AT SCHOOL

At Little Wonders Montessori Nursery School, once in a while children celebrate their Birthdays with fellow children.  It is exciting and worthwhile.  Children are really happy sharing with others.

It is a good idea for parents with means to have their children celebrate birthday with fellow children at school.  This calls for digging into the pocket to buy a birthday cake and some soda’s as basic.  It can be a good get together with other children, singing happy birthday songs, etc.
